Meet The Staff
Founder and Director
CCT began in 2010, as a result of Tammie's family moving to Charlotte from the Raleigh area. Her family was extremely involved with a youth theatre program back home, and they missed it desperately. Finding nothing similar, after MUCH prayer and consideration, Tammie jumped in with both feet when God, in his kindness and faithfulness, brought the opportunity to found CCT before her. Since then, Tammie has brought nearly a dozen shows to the stage, in addition to leading classes, designing costumes, and seeking out opportunities to serve the Lord through theatre arts.
Music Director and Administration
Leanne has a background in both Spanish and music education, and currently teaches Spanish at Carmel Christian school, where she also works with the theatre program. This is where Leanne met Tammie Butt, who introduced her to Charlotte Christian Theatre. Leanne joined CCT in the spring of 2016, as music director for the productions of "Esther" and "Peter Pan." She is looking forward to many, many more productions with these great groups of people!
Savannah is an aspirational filmmaker with a long background in the theatre, including roles in "Little Women," "Ruth," "Scrooge," "Beauty and the Beast," "Hello Dolly," and several more, as well as stage managing and production experience. At twenty-one years old, she is fresh out of a year-long apprenticeship on the Elevation Church film team, and so excited for this opportunity to jump back into the youth theatre world.
Justin Jordan can be best described as a Jesus-loving, explosion of joy and laughter. While he will be making his directorial debut with CCT, he does have some experience with acting, playing John Brooke in CCT's production of "Little Women." Justin has a great sense of humor and is an integral part of many different aspects of our classes, from assistant directing to leading devotions. He is eager to work with CCT and our students this year.
Assistant Director for Teens
A self-professed "theater geek" since childhood, Linda has BA in Fine Arts from San Diego State; was an actor/writer/director for the Theater Arts Fellowship of Orange County, California; a writer and actor for Crossway Church’s drama ministry; and a writer/director for various children’s theater classes and drama camps, including an adaptation of R.C. Sproul’s "The Priest with Dirty Clothes." Most recently, she served as Assistant Director for CCT’s production of "Esther."
Volunteer Coordinator and Makeup Lead
Jessica Moore serves as Volunteer Coorinator and Makeup Lead/Liaison. It has been her joy to have at least one of her children, and sometimes all five, participate in CCT's productions over the last 5 years. Jessica, herself, has performed in the adult productions of "Scrooge" and "Little Women." Jessica says, "I have enjoyed theater all my life; having this opportunity to be involved with CCT is helping me live out my love for the stage and acting as well as assisting the younger generations in their passion."
